VITTEL time

IN 1975, while Michel Caron was at the head of SDM, the VITTEL company experienced significant quality problems within its stocks.
To solve this problem, Mr. Caron Père offers a lasting solution to not only settle the quality problem but also offer a logistics platform in the heart of Europe.
SDM then took off in full swing by being the exclusive player in Vittel logistics in the Hauts de France and Belgium.
The market at the time represented 90,000 tonnes of mineral water, a significant flow at the time because the mass market markets did not yet buy full trains directly.
Thus, SDM decides to adorn itself with new, more suitable buildings rented to the SNCF for direct access to the railways.

DIVERSITY OF ACTIVITIES

The tonnage decreasing from year to year, following the boom in mass distribution, SDM diversifies its activities by investing in professional warehouses.
He thus becomes the owner of his Sin Le Noble site, on which the railway branch resides. We are then in 1985.
The arrival of Florent Caron Fils and Madame Caron in 1986 strengthened the SDM teams and paved the way for new ideas.
SDM then begins to offer new solutions in logistics, storage, handling and real estate.
The development of new sites on Lallaing, Iwuy, Pecquencourt and Sin Le Noble contribute to the development of the company with the key to new expertise.

SDM is now a team of more than 30 employees, 4 logistics sites spread over 55,000 m² of land, 6 sector expertise and an exclusive rail line in the Hauts de France.
